I think it's a silly policy on Cryptic's part. Turbine allows FP's access for LotRO and DDO both, and I don't see Rome burning there. Seriously, if you're goal is to have your free players buy in, either by subscribing and/or buying points, why not give them full access to tell them why/when/why/how it will take to make their experience the best possible in order to make that purchase decision.

It's *censored* b/c I can't voice my opinion. just b/c i'm not on a sub doesn't mean I'm not a paying member. IDC if the official forum is complete *censored*. It's a matter of principle. They've taken my money without prejudice. They should give forum access the same.
If you're going to censor these kinds of posts please censor the entire word so I don't have to summarily delete the entire post or worse. ~ KJ3

They could allow silvers in if the account has been active for x amount of time or some other factor like if you bought something from the c-store. Or both. This is maybe a good idea .. allow them to post if they have maybe at least bought stuff in the c-store for the price of one month gold. That would prevent from spam-accounts but people who really want to play and invest some money can also post.

The usual response to that kind of thinking by Cryptic, even in the CoH days, is, "That kind of thing is impossible to code / would involve rewriting the whole engine! No way we could do that. It would take forever." Followed by another company coding it in two minutes after Cryptic leaves. Maybe Cryptic lacks time manipulating programmers? They should get on that.
It's a great idea, but the coding is out of Cryptic's league.

Here is to hoping PW uses the appropriate coercion for them to do so. On another note, if silvers have the ability to contribute to content added to the game, then that will lead to a much higher retention rate then the revolving door they have right now.
The inability of silvers to contribute anything, considering the state of end game right now and the rate of content coming in. What is going to keep them playing CO, the bling bling?

I don't really care about ALL the forums. I mean, they're already ruined by certain golddies that complain about us but can't even try talking why on our forum. But there is at LEAST one place that should be basic right, the bugs area.
There are an army of bugs, which can be solved with an army of people. Put all the gold subscribers and LTS together, not even close. Throw in us silvers, and you've got an army times ten.
The suggestions area we also deserve, but in truth I have a feeling that it would become the beggars bar. But it's already got bad ideas and no doubt us silvers can give at least SOME good ones. If we don't get it there, I say send one here, no doubt that we deserve a chance.

Just please familiarize yourself with the forums rules and policies as they can be rather... I'll say "strict"... yeah, that's the word I'll use.

I'll say "strict"... yeah, that's the word I'll use. <.< >.> Yeah, this^ ...and whatever you do, don't discuss "Disciplinary Actions" (i.e. you or other people getting infractions and/or banned) of any kind, taken against any account (yours or someone else's)--not even to warn someone about not discussing disciplinary actions., not even if you're just making a vague allusion to the issue and most people wouldn't even know your talking about disciplinary actions. That's potentially a 10 point infraction right there, even if it doesn't explicitly say so anywhere in the rules (trust me, I learned the hard way ). Otherwise... enjoy
