I keep trying to download the latest patch via Steam. But it's taking so many hours! Two and a half hours to download 25% is too long. Is this normal or regular? If so I may have to get rid of the game, because even though I enjoyed it so far it isn't worth waiting an entire day for it to download a patch. Is there a way to stop it patching? It worked well enough before. Please help! It's driving me mad!

Try downloading the files from the champions website, then copy the files to the steam champions directory and launch the game to update and validate.

And I would recommend what KenpoJuJitsu3 said as well - my experiences with Steam have been kinda sluggish too, while it's never taken me more than a few hours to download a MAJOR Champions Online patch (by "major" I mean like a 1 gb or bigger download - the small patches download in a few minutes).

The real frustration is the patch itself
