Yeah, definitely not the greatest movie ever made. I've seen better SyFy originals...

Hm, I'd just been recommended that by a colleague. Might not now.
Thanks for the warning.

LOL, I thought this was going to be about completing resistance and not getting any loot.

I didn't really dislike the movie. Personally, it was better than I thought it'd be, but not as good as I thought it could have been (if that makes any sense.)

As a collector of comic book movies I was extremely disappointed in this movie. I don't even know why I finished it. My wife threatened to turn it off on several occasions.
Unfortunately this may just stay out of my super hero / comic movie collection. That's not final though as I did end up buying Catwoman when I saw it for $3. hehe Maybe this movie will fall in the same category.
On a positive note...who's up for X-men today???!!?

I only watched it because it had the same actresss as the villian in "Sky High". Serves me right

Wow, really? I loved this movie. You guys know it's not really supposed to be a comic book movie right?
I mean, it's a "Film Adaptation" of a comic book, yeah, but the comic was about a boy living life like a video game.
To me it's a video game movie, by way of comic book...
I'm probably not being clear.
Anyway, baddies dropping coins, leveling up, literal hammerspace, and a band named Sex Bob-omb? What's not to love?
It's an absurdist take on growing up viewed through the lens of 80's videogame pop from someone who played way too much Super Mario Bros. and RPGs growing up. (<---These words there? I hear what that sounds like, and I hate that you guys made me say these things.)
I do agree tho, it could have been better. I think Michael Cera was a bad casting choice, they needed someone overeager, energetic, very physical and kind of dumb, not quirky and awkward. I like him, just this wasn't the role for him, but despite that he did a pretty good job.

Ya, I'm surprised to see so much hate here. I remember going with a bunch of Cryptonians when it came out, and pretty much everyone liked it. I never read the comic, and while it's not an AMAZING movie, I thought it was pretty entertaining. Cool parts, cute bits + chicks, etc.

I heard it's a sort of "rushed" version of the comics - as in, you don't see Scott and Ramona "mature" or evolve throughout the movie, it just sort of happens with "movie magic" at the end. From what I hear, in the comics it's more of a gradual shift from jerks to people who actually consider other people's feelings.
But that's just what I heard. I never actually read the comics myself.
