I dislike the the wrist guns, and generally use them only as long as necessary, then do a full respec sometime before level 20 to ditch it from my build while respecs are still pretty cheap. The sonic blaster from gadgetry is a good one which I use on my Invul PA character, and my Quarry PA who goes for spike damage uses the archery energy builder with the aversion advantage for additional avoidance.
Quarry is definitely less damage compared to targeting computer, but it has much better energy management and better defenses, the tradeoff is IMO well worth it.

I don't think anyone likes wrist guns. Do they even work properly? I am so used to playing Battlebunny making allowance for badly working wrist guns, that I doubt I'd notice if they got fixed.

Dr. Lum, the Mad, Rockin' the PVE, BABY! Level 11 PowerArmor Guy T: Jet Boots, SS: END Passives: Invlunerability, Molecular Self-Assembly Defense: Energy Shield Offense: Wrist Bolter + Adv Mini Gun Rank 3 Plan: When I pick up Lvl 14, pick up Micro Munitions and then switch to Gageteer for Drones, Oribital Cannon, etc. How do you like me now?! ;D EDIT: I don't think anyone likes wrist guns. Do they even work properly? I am so used to playing Battlebunny making allowance for badly working wrist guns, that I doubt I'd notice if they got fixed. I love the wrist bolters - Once I discovered you have to have the advantage, and set your control options to 1) target attackers, 2) autotarget and 3) don't stop autotargeting until combat ends vs stopping when you switch weapons. (Sorry cant be specific right now - but look at the Options at the bottom of the Control tab - you'll see what I mean.) EDIT: Battlebunny uses the block from force, with the advantage that makes it do some cool thing I can't remember Oh yeah, shield that gives energy in Avenger mode - Cool! Now I have to figure out my power training sequence all over again or find another T1 PA power I want...
