Hi, I know we're suppose to focus on beefing up the primary superstat, but what is a good deficit between the secondaries and the primary?
For example, my primary superstat (ego) is 165, and I try to keep my secondaries (dex and rec) 50 or 60 points lower than my primary.
I don't really know how to balance my supers. Any suggestions?

I agree with Criswolf. In the case of the Soldier, even at level 40, your Recovery needs only be at 100 to 120 max really. The rest, pour into Ego and Dex, based on what you can get/afford.
Going into more details, like the deficit/distribution/ratio of Ego and Dex, it's actually debated a lot, but the reality is, there are so many factors, it actually doesn't matter. Just get Ego and Dex as high as you can (and no need to have Rec above 120, best to put it into Ego and Dex instead).
It's slightly different for other ATs, but the Soldier is one of the best ATs for this reason.

But again I'm a bit concerned on which of my primary stats (strength, con, and rec) I should focus on more. I wanna be more DPS so I know I should focus heavily on strength. Should I even out con and rec or do you recommend one being higher to be than the other in terms of DPS??

Yeah, again I agree with Criswolf.
Even though Strength is supposed to be Primary and Constitution is supposed to be Secondary, I found it was probably better to keep those 2 at around the same levels while leveling, and probably even at level 40.
The extra survivability is more genuinely more important due to the limitations of Melee. You're often surrounded, in proximity of AoEs, you're fighting more on the enemies' terms rather than your own, can't kite, and you can't lose aggro like the Soldier.
