I wouldn't bother going to r7 on the def/sups. There isn't enough of a boost from 6 to 7 to warrant the drastic price hike. It's either 7s, or 9s. Yes, flame thrower is an unbreakable, hard taunt(nothing can pull aggro from you). Look to the way I did up the smilodon if you want a tank to be a 'tank'. That gun that's clearing stuff like that is gravity pulse. XS Thanks for the advice, i copied the smilodon build except that I put AA missile 3 instead of micromunitions 2. I look forward to try it on Sunday

I found a boo boo on the Talon's loadout. I fixed it. Somehow, I missed the extra guns that come with mk 2.

Yeah! I just got my first vehicle. A Hawk I dropped into my lap. I used a kit and it's now a Hawk II, so WHEEEEEEWEEEEEEEEEEEE! I guess. You know, getting the Defensive and Support mods are easy, but the Mk II weapons not so easy to get. That's okay since the only thing I really wanted a Vehicle for is the Gravity Pulse since any hero can use it to more quickly clear out all of those low level WS mobs to get those Defeated 5000 { name a gang } Perks. It's easy to accomplish with high DPS heroes but not so much if you hero is a punchy type. Anyway, good guide. Someday I'll get those other Weapons: [Incendiary Round Mark 2], [Plasma Beam Mark 2], [Singularity Bomb Mark 2], and really give those legendaries a What For.

You can get them pretty easy, they're all on the AH for pretty cheap.

Zed, great to hear about your vehicle. You mentioned you got the Gravity Pulse already? That's outstanding.
Of the long-range weapons, if you had to prioritise, I'd suggest the Plasma Beam. The others are nice-to-haves IMHO.
(Remember that Plasma Beam has that Plasma Shear effect; the more people firing Plasma Beams, the more dmg each one does.)
This way, you have the top tier AoE (Gravity Pulse) and single-target (Plasma Beam) weapons, for solo- and team-play.

So, the Z-Store vehicles can be upgraded to have 7 slots. Huzzah.

Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I'm stuck as a Silver for a few months ('til at least August), I'll find a way to fill up my Veh. after I'm Gold again. It's just easier since I must use the AH. In the mean time, I'm happy just using the Gravity Pulse, mostly, just to push my heroes through the last five levels. Once a hero hits 40, a Veh. seems less important for daily activity - IMHO. I used to hate Alerts, but now I love taking a 40 into Alerts (Grabs) to help push the lower level heroes ever upward towards 40. I make a point of doing 3 Grabs daily even if it's not going to give me 2000 Q for my effort. I'm not ready to test it yet, but I want to see how useful a Hawk II would be a quick leveling a beginning hero. Tons of missions can be completed never stepping off of the larger map. Tons of 'em in Canada and on Monster Island.

Haha, you've got more patience than me; I tend to see the grabs as a burden when you go in there and have to do all of the work yourself. As for lvling, they just removed it; I used to be able to take my ride into resistance, and go 6->40 in just about an hour. But, they removed it >.<
There's an incen rd on the AH@450g; you should really pick that up.

So, for a 2099-ish SnS character, what type of vehicle would you recommend? A chariot?

Tons of 'em in Canada and on Monster Island. Zed, you already figured this out, and it's as much about the Hawk II as your Gravity Pulse. It's -exactly- about never stepping off the outdoors map, never getting off your vehicle. And it is Canada, Burning Sands, Monster Island. The lull periods are when you're stuck in the city. I don't know if it's actually faster than XP Alerts, but it feels a lot faster as it's not repetitive.

During the double XP weekend a while back i leveled up several heroes to 40 doing missions on my Grave bike, went very quickly but i did notice that if you are using the Nemesis heirloom items for an XP boost it doesn't apply while you are mounted, so a quick dismount for turning in quests may increase XP gain but YMMV

Corrected my previous post, but the main point remains, stick with the missions that are in the open world.
