GOG.com is having a bunch of holiday sales, but most notably is from now until December 14th at 14:59 GMT Duke 3D Atomic edition is free. It's an old game, but kind of a favorite of mine, especially with the Priss Nukem mod someone made for it that's probably floating around the internet somewhere.

I saw this post this morning and its a hilariously good deal the way she described it so I went and got an Amazon copy for myself. This is for "boxed-hard-copy-disc" TERA published by En Masse in NA, South America, Australia and Europe (not the Gameforge version.) I'm writing this from my mobile so it's up to you to carefully read the details as described on the links. Begin Copypasta: tera.enmasse.com/news/posts/buy-a-tera-box-get-an-epic-mount massively.joystiq.com/2012/12/13/tera-entices-players-to-buy-boxed-copies-with-a-totally-sweet-li/ There are 5 places you can buy the physical copy (tied to the promotion). For some reason I can't find it in Target. Keywords such as TERA or Arborea do not result in the game being shown. I'm not sure if they took it off or if they ran out already. For Wal-Mart it says they are sold out of it online, but you can check for very limited availability in local stores. You can get the game in Best Buy and GameStop but the price is $40.00. I would wait till there is a promotion for it. The best place to get it would be Amazon at the moment. The game sells for $8.99. For this value you are getting a great deal. Chronoscrolls sell for $15 and usually go around 1500 gold on the PVE server. It gives you 30 days of playtime. Here is the kicker, the promotion EME is giving through Amazon is way better than just a Chronoscroll. You get 2 emeralds. You NPC these and get 1k for each. That is a total of 2k in gold so far. You get a mount (single character bound not account bound) and you can easily sell this for 1500-2500. That adds up to roughly 4k in gold so far. Add to that the 2 semi-enigmatic scrolls and you could easily add another 1k to that to get a grand total of around 5k in gold... 4.5k easily. You could buy 3 months worth of playtime for $8.99 if you sold off all of the virtual items. And with the 30 days given when you buy the game that comes out to 4 months of TERA for #8.99. You are limited to 3 copies from Amazon. So if you were to buy 3 copies, it would come out to a little over $25 (you get free shipping on orders over $25) and you could get upwards to around 15k in gold. That $25 translates to 9 months worth of TERA plus the 30 days giving you 10 months of TERA. 9-10 months for a monthly subscription game for $25 (the price of one account bound mount) isn't bad at all. Remember the price for the emeralds are guaranteed since you just NPC them. Mounts almost always stabilize around 1500-2500. Enigmatic scrolls will fluctuate though. Edit 12/16/12: After reading a short piece of fiction written to "explain" the weirdness of the method used to claim the rewards (found on the first link), I am hereby on this day predicting TERA going B2P by the end of the month. I have money running on this.

Welp.
Amazon just listed TSW at $15. So today I got me another TERA for the Lion and extra few months to the sub and TSW for $24 total (Amazon's on fire today).

And yup, sure enough, I bought Darksiders 2 and the season pass just two days ago for roughly $15 each.
Dammit. Oh well. Anyone know if this price would be worth it for the stuff the season pass doesn't cover?

Anyone know if this price would be worth it for the stuff the season pass doesn't cover? No. The Season Pass covers 2 out of 4 playable DLCs in the game at present. The rest are weapons/armor you will outlevel well before endgame (great for early to mid game though) and a speed boost for your horse. However, the pieces that are missing from the season pack are also on individual sale right now on Amazon for less than $13 total ($11.50) so might want to do it that way if you want that gear...or at least the the two playable packs for $3.50 a pop.

Not a sale but didn't think it was worth its own thread. I got my hardcopy TERA package on the mail and redeemed the backwards code for the Lion and scrolls, that leaves a normal code for a new TERA account which includes one month of playtime. If you want it send me a PM. I'll prolly get back home late this afternoon (or tomorrow - Merry Xmas) so don't expect a reply till then.
And FFS remember this is the NA version!
"En Masse has a license to operate TERA game servers in North America. This means that if you are in North America, South America, Europe (excluding Russia), and Oceania (Australia, New Zealand, Micronesia, Melanesia, and Polynesia) you can play on En Masse Servers."

The new Indie Gala bundle has Mass Effect 2 for PC in it, in case anyone's curious. You have to "beat the average" to get it, which is at $5.85 as of right now.
