It got hair physics as well... And hair that reaches your hips... *wink wink* Even allows you to wear 3 different hats on the same head. Hip long hair with hair physics? OMG, I'm gonna have to learn japanese to try this now! Ima have to reinstall Rosetta Stone when I get home

The actual game itself is easy enough to stumble through. I don't understand a single bit of Japanese, but messing with the options lets you at least do enough to swap out weapons, learn skills, assign skills, and the like. Even managed to use the auction house-like thing already, though I have no idea how I managed to do that. I think I'm just doing a random search and seeing if anything catches my eye there.
DEFINITELY do the Character Creator thing first, though, and learn how to save the preset for use in the actual game. You wouldn't want to make a guy, then have him get randomized by accident when you're ready to play. Also, you can set up icons for the 360 pad, PS3 pad, or keyboard and mouse, so that makes things easier.

I'll have to nab that for when I get some free time and cash for making the rest of my Hunters team, AKA the only characters I've bothered to get to 40 in Champions.

OMG, I'm gonna have to learn japanese to try this now! Ima have to reinstall Rosetta Stone when I get home I managed to teach myself enough japanese to have about 2,000 words of fluency in 18 months through yesjapan.com, so it's totally doable. It's a surprisingly logical language and a lot of fun to learn. The grammar is a LOT easier than English, as is the pronunciation. The 3 writing systems (well, 4 if you count romanji) are a bit of a pain, but you can pick up hiragana and katakana pretty quickly if you use flash cards, and kanji actually helps make sense of the way the language works (it's a lot easier to remember that "seinangappi" means date of birth when you realise that the kanji is literally "birth year month day") Then I started playing SWG and forgot almost all of my Japanese (though I can still say "I am a stupid foreigner", the single most useful phrase in any country.) But yeah. When I've finished this endless master's degree, I'm planning on getting back into Japanese. Highly recommended language.

Got to watch a friend play with the character creator, is really nice. Not as many costume options as CO but far more in-depth with the actual body.

I made a cat lady. :3 (This is with the benchmark/CharGen client, mind you. I had enough trouble with all the kanji as is, can only imagine the headache of dealing with it all in-game.) Someone tell them to localize this, post-haste. D:/

Crappy just got real!Early 2013. I can totally wait for it! Everyone kinda expected Sega to *censor* up royally after the fiasco that was PSP2I and its lack of localization. Pleasantly surprised! See this is why I always expect the worst. Now we play the waiting game!

Hah, I never played PSO. PSU was my introduction to the Phantasy Star IP. One of my buddies at the time was a huge PSO fan and suckered me into getting PSU on the PS2 to play with him. Game was horrible so I just assumed all the other PSO games were crap like that lol. I guess I wasn't alone since it seems that PSU is getting shut down later this year finally. Surprised it lasted that long tbh. Anyway, I did some checking around a bit yesterday and seems like this one doesn't suck. Lobby based games suck, but I might give this one a shot since it's F2P. But seriously, PSU turned me off to Phantasy Star, I hope it's good enough to change my mind.
