I don't know the details (I was out for the weekend and only logged briefly a couple minutes ago). But apparently there was some drama and they decided to disband and reasemble the guild. You'll have to contact Kieran in-game for a re-invite to the new guild.

I've not logged into the game in about a week and a half but the guild site has been a ghost town for quite a while now. Had no idea it was disbanded/reassembled.
Update: Seems none of my characters are in the guild anymore.
Moving on then I guess.
Has anyone geared up their starship droid and had them follow you around like a literal healbot yet? Keep his parts current and his healing isn't too shabby.

The shadow's edge website has prety much been me & melkathi for about 3 weeks but the ingame guild's *censored*ed. No notes as to what's happened, Keiran (guild leader) gone, guild admin in a mess and folks I've brought over to the guild shouting at me becasue I'm supposed to know and a 'joint leader' If keiran want's to disband and reassemble it then he's not left anyone any messages about it. It frankly looks like he's just quit and trashed the guild admin on the way out leaving us all in the dark.

Personally I prefer Quinn because he can also toss decent DPS, Elara because she's less obnoxious and Theran because of Holiday's special ability. I think on my knight I might gear up that droid tho. And if your Consular is female be mindful of your convos with Theran. I was absent minded and let him drop a roofie on my toons drink.

Yeah, I've wondered about that droid. I never really use him (since he/it doesn't gain affection), but I sometimes wonder if he might be a better healer than Theran. Don't really know who Quinn and Elara are, though (I wonder if I have missed a potential companion). Only other companion I have is the trandoshan ("lizard"). And if your Consular is female be mindful of your convos with Theran. I was absent minded and let him drop a roofie on my toons drink. Yeah, I sort let him slip the roofie on my toon drink (since he's the only companion Ive run into that has the option), then he later had to cut his "liaisons" with her out of fear of reprisal from his translucent, intangible, barely even sentient (if you count AI's as sentient entities) fake girlfriend.

What's this about roofies and consulars? o.O Why can't I stop laughing about that?

OK this is how it went down and why I thought it was a roofie. You know when you are on your ship and sometimes your companion wants to chat and you can gain a ton of XP by just chatting? Well, so Theran wants to chat. Cool, free XP - right?
Anyway so his affection points are really low because more often than not his style disagrees with mine. So as of yesterday I started trying to powerlevel 3 new crew skills and was noticing how he sucked because his affection was low. So fine, I figure I'll indulge Metro-Man for a bit so I can level the crew skills easier.
So we start chatting and he's going blah blah about some code in dome mysterious letter blah blah it must be a chemical formula (here's where the roofie part came in I swear.) So great, Holiday goes off to try to recreate the chemical formula then he says something.
Now, remember his Affection is at like 500, something stupid low. The option in the convo pops for a [Flirt]. Well, I had a Corona on me and was feeling a little experimental, and figured if I thrower that geek a bone he might suck less with crafting so I choose the Flirt option. Mind you - I had never had the toon getting fresh on him before.
Well, what do you know, he says something then the screen goes black for a bit. That's where a chill ran down my spine and when it comes back up I realize it had been a cutscene. And there they are, stretching out like they were warming up for a run. I'm not gonna lie. I put a pretty decent "NOOOOOOOO!!!" at my monitor once I realized what had just taken place.
So choose Flirt at your own peril.

Yup, long story short, Theran is the companion that has the romance options for female Consular characters (or at least the only one I've found so far), and he has a holo-AI girlfriend named Holiday. I found it particularly amusing (and insulting) that female Consulars are forced to compete with an intangible fake woman to win over a guy's romantic interests. Talk about geek romance In regards to gaining affection points for Theran, I find that he is the "inquisitive" type. He tends to gain affection for you if you choose a lot of questions as part of your dialog (rather than get right down to business without asking about what you're getting into, etc.), or make choices that advance knowledge somehow or that may reveal critical thinking on your part (such as point out potential problems with the course of action NPCs suggest you take). Conversly, if there is potentially dangerous knowledge or technology involved, such as technical advancements that could be used to hurt a lot of people, and you choose to destroy it rather than let it fall into the wrong hands, you may take a massive hit from his affection (something like -43 points).

Apparently the WOW-types that had joined Shadow's Edge got all up-in-arms about casual play style (or some such... I might be under/overstating the specifics) and started causing a ton of "Guild Drama." That part is a direct quote. Rather than deal with their hoohah, there was a parting of the ways and Kieran started a new guild and was inviting people that were in the old guild and online to quit and join the new one, called "Zephyr." I'm more about casual, fun gaming than demanding raids and threatening to kick players who don't participate in every one, who don't min/max their characters, etc. etc. That's the truncated version - don't really have any more details than that.

Well, as far as guild stuff goes, I'm behind Melkathi and Supercollider. I wasn't aware of what was going on and thought they knew, so I just did what Kieran said. Him not telling you does seem a bit odd, seeing as you guys were both big cheeses.
So, that said, I'm with you guys.

I am still not 100% clear on who was what, but I get the feeling those that went with Zephyr were in the more casual boat? If that's the case then cool. Someday, when I finally reach endgame, I will endeavor to continue improving my character topping my crew skills and joining groups in heroics - as part of a normal casual playtime schedule. I've done "hardcore gaming" (LOLOLOL) before for several years and I'm in no hurry to do it again. If I actually got it wrong and the Zephyrites were the one asking for hardcore or whatever please let me know. SC check your PMs

I found it particularly amusing (and insulting) that female Consulars are forced to compete with an intangible fake woman to win over a guy's romantic interests. Threesome? It really always is the best option, at least when foursome isn't available. That's stupid. Where's the problem of having a Red and Blue team - one casual and one raid oriented? It allows for creating a reserve/farm team for the raids, and the option for the raiders when taking a break to move to a less demanding team without losing all contact or being forced to cut off all ties. It also makes your group/guild more appealing, as long as you have a level headed leader anyway.
