Hi Silver players,
Seen the inventory slots and bank slots and starting to think how can I hold all this stuff, I've only got 70 slots in all? Even using crafted bags (bought from the Aunction House or crafting them yourself) means you have to pay unlock an inventory slot.
I'm a complusive hoarder by nature so maybe I can help you while helping myself.
For the first few levels its quite easy to dash around MC and stop off and bank interesting items, sell others and the space isn't a problem but you'll soon find that bank access generally means travelling back to MC which quickly puts a strain on your storage also if you are crafting you'll soon amass a variety of components. In reality once you hit Canada you are going to notice the pitfalls.
Basic Rules (well, there more like guidelines)
What space you have available to you: -
Inventory - 30 slots available
Bank - 40 slots available
Devices - 5 Slots (just don't forget to put usable devices here, no point wasting the space)
Unity Terminal - Don't forget you can attach 5 items per email and send them to yourself and your alt(s).
Auction House - 10 auctions available. (It costs resource to post an auction for 5 days (based on a percentage of the price you post it up for), if you are desperate for short-term space then you could post items up for 250G (Max silvers can hold) and collect them within the 5 days. Be aware that some one could actually buy them but hopefully you've gained so much cash you don't care!)
SG Vault - if you are a member (or better a leader) there is a possibility of using some space here but remember that other SG members can also remove items so this is not really recommended.
So what to keep where.
Mission Specific Items - collect items or simply items you need to ferry to NPCs. This is what your inventory is really for, everything else should only be in your inventory on it's way to somewhere else.
Items which unlock missions - You don't want to discard them but they are too easy to pickup in some areas (grr desert!) I recommend trying to keep only a few missions open so you can pick up the odd missions like these and help a citizen ones. Try and complete them asap to clear that item.
Crafting Items - these can be used from the bank so I'd recommend keeping them there, I'm level 22 and 2/3 of my bank space is on crafting items. That includes unspent Discoveries (that's Insight, Epiphany or Profundity). Fortunately they tend to stack in 50s.
Devices - Are they already bound? do you have a free device slot? then use it. Keep Device slot 1 free for mission stuff but if it's bound or you don't intend to sell it or even strip it for Research then keep it to hand. If it's now underpowered and you haven't used it yet then just do it! I set Cobra Gang Lords on Grond hunters, it was funny to see how quick they died and let me pick of a hunter before he targetted me. If selling treat as Utilities below
Utilities - are you going to use it? if so equip it now. If it useful to you but not right now, then Bank it or Unity mail it to yourself until you can bank it later. If you are not going to use it can you use it for Crafting Research? If so hold it only until you can Research it, there are many crafting area so this should be easy. If you are not going to use it and you can't craft it the is it bound? If so sell a vendor immediately when you pass one or drop it if you need the inventory space. If it's not bound and could be used by an alt character then Unity mail it to yourself.
Then look at it's quality (colour)
Power or costume unlock utilities make this a more interesting choice but frankly most of them seem to arrive bound so if you can't use then treat as any other Rare/Unique Utility.
Action Figures - If you pick up any action figures then don't hesitate, either unlock them for yourself or hold tehm only until you can sell them.
When out and about (at least for missions around levels 6-22) you'll pass by main centers with Unity Mail terminals and crafting areas fairly regularly I recommend you clear out your inventory each time you pass them and if you get chance at the end of the day do pop back to MC and do your banking.
Final few thoughts

- Rule #1 - be ruthless!
- Rule #2 - see above
- Rule #3 - be careful checking what's useful to you and what's not then see Rule #1
- Rule #4 - when you pass a Vendor/Crafting area/Unity terminal do check your Inventory and have a quick clear out.
- Rule #5 - Try and actually visit the bank at the end of daily play sessions.

- Low (White) - sell to a vendor immediately when you pass one, drop it if you need the inventory space.
- Common (Yellow) - hold if you can to Auction House it for a little above Vendor Price, drop it if you have.
- Uncommon (Green) - hold until you can Auction House it for about Double Vendor Price, mail it to yourself it stuck for space
- Rare (Blue) - hold until you can Auction House it for well above Vendor Price, probably worth a trip to MC to sell this.
- Unique (Purple) - hold until you can Auction House it for well above Vendor Price - this makes a trip to MC worthwhile!
Power or costume unlock utilities make this a more interesting choice but frankly most of them seem to arrive bound so if you can't use then treat as any other Rare/Unique Utility.

- If you can't use it but your SG might then don't forget to be generous! Especially with unbound power replace/costume unlock items for example.
- There is a level 24 mission (Hank Shaw's Redemption) that should give you a 16 slot bag but you will still need to pay to unlock the bag slot to use it.
- If the worst comes to the worst then you have 2 free characters so it's really not a lot of money to buy 500 tokens and pay to unlock an inventory slot for each character.
